How to Customize Your Windows Operating System

The doorway to your Windows operating system is the program explorer.exe, in the Windows directory. For this example, we show explorer.exe brought up under Windows in edit.

See those words such as "S t a r t "? Notice how there is a space between each letter? Those are the sorts of things you can hex edit without killing the program.
